Labyrinth

‘I ask so little. Just let me rule you, and you can have everything that you want’.

Labyrinth is one of my favorite movies of all time. Being a massive David Bowie fan, directors casting Bowie as the Goblin king ‘Jareth’ was sheer brilliance, not to mention he features on half of the film’s soundtrack. The character ‘Sarah’ was one of Jennifer Connelly’s first big-time roles, and she absolutely nailed it. Casting aside, Labyrinth is a visually spectacular film.

The John Butler Trio’s 2010 release ‘April uprising’ is one astounding album, the ideal soundtrack for musing and relaxing. Notable tracks include I’d do anything, revolution, and take me.

Roses are red, violets are blue, fuck you, whore.

500 days of Summer

The film has an amazing soundtrack that compliments the scenes faultlessly, featuring the lights of Regina Spektor, The Temper Trap, and The Smiths.

Only bettered by the casting of Zoey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
